Kodo CLI

A command-line interface that lets developers talk to multiple language models without ever leaving the terminal — built so AI fits the way developers already work, instead of asking them to work differently.

About Kodo

Kodo is building the future of developer tooling. Kodo CLI is a powerful command-line interface for seamless interaction with multiple language models — built by developers, for developers, because the best tools come from people who actually use them.

The Problem

Developers constantly context-switch between AI chat windows, documentation, and their codebase. Copy-pasting code into web UIs kills flow, and most AI tools don’t understand a project’s structure, dependencies, or conventions — so every answer has to be re-explained from scratch.

The Solution

Kodo lives in the terminal and the IDE. It reads the codebase, understands context, and gives answers right where they’re needed — no tab-switching, no copy-pasting, no friction. Just ask, and build.

AI should amplify a developer’s skills, not replace them — and the best place for it to do that is inside the terminal, not in a separate browser tab.

What We Built

We partnered with Kodo to design and build Kodo CLI from the ground up: a terminal-native client that talks to multiple language model providers through a single interface, while staying aware of the surrounding project’s files, dependencies, and conventions. The result is a tool that feels like a natural extension of the terminal rather than another window competing for a developer’s attention.
